Welcome to the Leader Project

Our aim is to have a very detailed and well presented model of the Bullied Leader in OO Gauge. We chose this locomotive because it was designed, built and ran only about 6 miles away from us at Brighton works. We consider it to be a step in Locomotive engineering that was forgotten and as it was so different we decided that it would be a great model. After having many locals ask us if there was a RTR one available we decided to look into having one produced. We have approached Dapol and after talks with them have decided to go ahead with the project.

How it all works

Loconotion Models is a small family run model shop, and as such is in no position to finance such a model in advance.

With that in mind, the only way we can do this is to ask for payment in advance from each customer. Every customer will receive an official receipt for their money along with regular updates on the progress of the model. We have spoken to Dapol, and a realistic timescale for delivery is 18 months to 2 years from the initial order.As everybody we hope can appreciate that this is a completely new model, and as such needs to be built entirely from scratch.

This takes quite some time, but we hope that the prospect of owning one of a limited run of these unique models will make the months fly by.All monies recieved will be lodged in a dedicated account set up specifically for this purpose, and ring fenced using the services of a solicitor to ensure further security for everyone.

As soon as sufficient orders are achieved we will ask for payment to be made to an account, details of which will be sent to you, and as soon as your money is recieved, a receipt will be sent to you.When we ask for your money, we will also require you to choose the livery you wish for your model, and whether or not you wish it to be weathered for a small extra charge.
